Manchester United is reportedly undergoing a significant overhaul as they aim to reshape their squad under Ineos’s new management. With the Premier League’s PSR rules limiting their transfer budget, the club is looking to generate funds by offloading several players, including Casemiro, Antony, and Christian Eriksen.

According to talkSPORT reports, Manchester United has made Casemiro, Antony, and Eriksen available for transfer. Casemiro, who arrived from Real Madrid in a high-profile £70 million transfer in 2022, initially made a strong impact in his debut season. However, the Brazilian midfielder’s performance levels have declined recently, prompting the club to consider selling him. Despite still having two years left on his lucrative £350,000-a-week contract, United may opt to part ways with Casemiro, especially with interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, Antony, signed from Ajax for a club-record fee of £85.5 million in 2022, has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward has struggled to make a significant impact, managing just 11 goals in 82 appearances for the Red Devils. With his performances deteriorating this season, Antony’s future at the club appears uncertain, and United may be willing to entertain offers for his departure.

Christian Eriksen, the experienced Danish midfielder, has also found himself on the fringes at Manchester United. Having started just 12 league matches this season, Eriksen’s prominence within the squad has diminished, raising doubts about his long-term future at the club. With only a year remaining on his contract, the 32-year-old could seek opportunities elsewhere, especially after expressing dissatisfaction with his lack of game time during the March international break.

In addition to potential departures, Manchester United recently bid farewell to Raphael Varane, who confirmed his departure after three years at the club. The French defender expressed gratitude to the supporters and emphasized the special bond he formed with the club and its fans during his tenure. Meanwhile, Anthony Martial is set to leave upon the expiration of his contract this summer, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also available for transfer. Tonight’s match against Newcastle is likely to mark his farewell at Old Trafford.

According to reports, Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked with a return to Crystal Palace, could command a fee of around £20 million. As Manchester United prepares for a significant squad overhaul, the departures of key players signal a new era under Ineos’ ownership. With the club aiming to strengthen its roster ahead of the upcoming season, the summer transfer window promises to be a crucial period for Manchester United as they seek to rebuild and compete at the highest level.
